25 yr old lemons

you can't make lemonade from 25 year old lemons. If my children read this -- I don't think they do. but if so then I'm sorry but you will be finding out soon enough I guess.
My husband has informed me that our marriage is over. He has another relationship and has had for some time. he insists the two are not related. Poppycock. ##### can get run over by a truck for all I care. Everything has been his choice and his decision and I do not and have not had any choice in the matter. Locks are being changed today and I am looking for a good lawyer. Nothing else I can do. I have to at least know my rights and protect myself. 25 years is a long time to throw away. Even now if he was honest and serious I would work on our marriage. Something he has never been willing to do, despite my many attempts and tries to get him to go to counseling and do so.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from Georgia. We are having a small holiday here today. Just my 2 DS's, mil, and DH coming over. Will be cooking a small turkey and some of the traditional sides but not too many since there won't be too many of us and I will be the one eating all those leftovers. Eating about 4 here and since it is just a small turkey I really don't have much to do till later so morning is pretty much mine. Knitting and all will commence. Yippee.
I work tomorrow and then right after work will be headed out to my SIL house for big family gtg. They always do the big family one there on Friday, timing is such that I should just make it.
Hope everyone has a good holiday and if your don't celebrate it then hope you just have a wonderful day.

This Week

Spinal Procedure this week seems to have went well. Epidural thing or what ever it is called. Bit of pressure on the nerves but is supposed to relieve pressure on the discs in back. Am really hoping for some relief and healing. Will see. Only time will truly tell. Is definitely better than it ever was when I first started going there.
Should finish up at least one baby sweater this weekend and probably another if not this weekend then this week. Will be good as my Christmas stuff is in need of quick completion and I need to get a move on.
My foot pedal has finally come in for my sewing machine and I am excited to be going to pick it up today. I really want to get some things sewn up as Christmas gifts and have a few things for kids to finish up. I hope they aren't disappointed from me. I am counting my paychecks before Christmas so I can see what I can do.
I don't want to give away any secrets so am going to be quiet. I am not sure if at least Jean is checking out my blog.
Well, another week and going to take it easy this weekend. Don't want to overdo on my back and undo all the work being done for it. Am going to see a movie with son today. Will be nice. I do need to get out. I kind of want to go to pool, but am leary of overdoing it. Maybe I should wait till next week. I did go for a bit Friday, but only paddled a bit as I was already hurting a lot and didn't want to overdo then either. Feeling better this morning though so that is a good sign.

Knitting again/ Car

Been catching up on some knitting. Working on baby sweaters. have almost finished one for baby Simon. Yarn to finish is winging its way to me from northern reaches, thanks to a dear friend who went on the hunt for me. Is a Patons yarn called Astra, in a Denim Mix colorway. Am also working on an orange and white one as a request for a friend. She is from Tennessee and that is their colors and wants this for her grandbaby. Also plan on digging out and working on socks again soon.
As I was cleaning up and packing up my DD's bedroom, I found my handknit socks. She didn't take them to Japan. She had snatched them out of my drawer last winter so now I snatched them back. At least I will have warm feet.
Went shopping last week and bought myself a bit of new clothes. Kind of had too. Am down by 50 lbs and nothing fits at all. Been buying what I had to for work and all, but I kind of like looking nice too. For me I need to.
Car goes into shop this week for getting paint work repaired. the hood and trunk. The gas guage is acting all funny sometimes and I think it is fixing to go out. I really wish I could get a different car. Something smaller and better gas mileage. Even Jean complained about how much gas that thing ate. It does, but I have to live with it for now. I have been driving it for a long time. I got it in summer of the year I started working at JoAnn Fabrics, worked there 2 1/2 years, Walmart 2 1/2 yrs, and am at Target almost 3 years, plus layed off for for 5 mths in between. So near about 7 or so years I guess. I know we bought it when our oldest was still in high school and our youngest was in middle school. Now our yougest is in 2nd year of college.
Time does go by.
